Where To Find Great Fonts

Great font choice is essential to Cover Art design. However, like images, fonts are subject to ownership and license agreements so it is important that you do not use any that you do not own or have a license to use commercially. We have put together a list of the best websites that have both free and paid fonts. Remember to reach each license agreement carefully to fully understand where you are allowed to use them!! Also check out this awesome article for some tips on choosing the right type-face for your design!

  1. Google Fonts

    • All the fonts and their catalog are free and open source, making beautiful typography accessible to anyone for any project. Google Fonts takes care of all the licensing and hosting, ensuring that the latest and greatest version of any font is available to everyone.

  2. Font Space

  3. Free Fonts Project

    • Since 2008, the Free Fonts Project created by Ivan Gladkikh exists to make typography more popular and available for a broad range of users. Over the past 8 years, more than 50 free fonts and families have been created thanks to active collaboration with a large number of designers.

  4. The League of Moveable Type

    • A completely open-sourced and free space to find fonts for commercial use, while their selection isn’t large, you don’t have to worry about any licensing issues.
